Leadership Coaching

A proven expert conducts Leadership & Management coaching that produces improved competence and increased efficiency. Regardless of the industry, in order to excel, it is the Leader, Manager and Supervisor who must demonstrate superior performance skills. Every employee profits when a qualified coach successfully empowers (and guides) a company’s decision-makers towards excellence.

The most frequently cited skills illustrating effective leadership (as well as the coach’s objectives):

  • Verbal communication (includes listening)
  • Oral Presentations
  • Managing time and stress
  • Managing individual decisions
  • Recognizing, defining, and solving problems
  • Motivating and positively influencing others
  • Equitable use of Power and Authority
  • Delegation and trust
  • Instituting goals and articulating vision
  • Establishing reciprocal rapport
  • Confidence & assertiveness
  • Negotiation
  • Team formulation and leadership
  • Empowerment
  • Managing conflict & diversity
  • Career management
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Self-awareness (enjoying the ride)

Step One: The process begins with an objective assessment, such as: a 360 Degree Leadership Questionnaire; an interview (on the phone or face-to-face); and a self-assessment. These tools help pinpoint improvement areas.

Step Two: The coach analyzes data, helps set specific behavioral goals, and schedules the tele-coaching or face-to-face sessions. Each month there are two to four 20 – 60 minute tele-coaching or face-to-face sessions, pick-me-up calls (at any time) and unlimited e-mails.

The participant may also choose a subordinate to receive specific subject matter coaching. The subordinate would either use part of the participants time or establish a separate account. Either way, the primary participant would receive general feedback on the subordinates progress.

Step Three: The coach, focusing on the participants goals, asks powerful questions and provides suggestions, recommendations, direction, monitoring techniques, resources, etc. on a weekly basis, which may include:

  • Understanding oneself as well as co-workers? perceptions
  • Your response to adversity, stress, and pressure
  • The words you use and how you use them (language, articulation)
  • Competition and completion (goals, rewards and satisfaction)
  • Tolerance, support and mutual respect
  • Developing individual and company-wide harmony
  • Exacting and disseminating pleasure during the daily grind
